Note: If you are looking for an introduction to group sex, check out this article on threesomes.

Sexual activity involving multiple parties engaging simultaneously have been a part of human sexual expression for centuries.

The concept of group sex, or in more extreme terminology a sex "orgy" make evoke curiosity for a lot of people, most probably because it is something that very few ever experience for themselves.

But if you personally are looking to try out this type of sensual experience, it is important to be clear of what group sex actually entails, along with how to properly engage in act itself.

Keep reading to learn all about how to have a proper orgy (or any form of group sex for that matter).

What is an Orgy?

Before explaining an orgy, it is important to cover what group sex is first.

And to be honest, group sex is pretty self explanatory: it is sex beyond just one other person.

The most basic form of group sex is your classic threesome, which has a few key benefits, including:

  • Increased sexual stimulation by engaging with two partners instead of one.

  • Ability to explore your sexuality in a safe and controlled environment.

  • Establish a stronger emotional connection with your partner(s).

Now how an orgy differs from a threesome is that it basically amps up the number of people to obscenely high numbers.

One way of thinking about it is this - sex with four people can be called a foursome, but after that anything more can reasonably be considered an orgy.

Given that four people is basically just two couples engaging in sex side by side, it really feels more like an orgy once you hit that five-person threshold.

But that is just my opinion and in any case, you can just think of an orgy as pushing the boundaries of group sex.

Five people laying in bed after group sex
Five (or even four) people can reasonbly be considered an orgy.

What is an Orgy like?

Having been in quite a number different orgies my lifetime (involving both men and women), I do have enough first-hand experience to be considered a relative expert in the subject.

In short, an orgy is unlike any other sexual experience that you can ever have.

And there are two key elements that contribute to this take:

Sex on overdrive

While you obviously will be engaging in sex while at an orgy, there is just something different about taking multiple partners all at once.

This is very easy to visualize for women in particular, given their sexual anatomy, namely having a vagina instead of a penis.

This is because when paired with their anus and their mouth, they have three main orifices that can be filled at once.

In other words, in an orgy, you can often go beyond a typical double penetration and achieve triple penetration by also pleasuring another man with oral sex.

Speaking of which, don't forget to bring plenty of lube.

And although I am mentioning three men in this scenario, you can also achieve this with women as well through the use of strap-on sex-toys in-lieu of a real penis (going into any orifice).

And just like women, even men can experience something similar as the center of the orgy experience.

Now throw in the fact that you also have two hands that can both pleasure two additional partners (not to mention two feet that can also be licked by two others), and you are already up to seven people all engaged with you at the same time!

There is almost no limit as far as the explicit physical stimulation you are either giving or receiving at any given time.

Throw in other sex toys into the equation, such as having everyone else's backside filled with a butt plug while they play with you, and orgies can really amp up the sexual pleasure across the board.

Sex all around you

When engaging in an orgy, one thing that you will inherently notice is that bodies will be everywhere.

Beyond all of the people that you are actively engaging in sex with, there is a certain voyeurism aspect of watching all of the other people engage in sex right next to you.

And that element is a huge turn-on in itself.

Imagine seeing your girl friend being gang-banged and double penetrated by two men.

Or perhaps she receiving cunnilingus from another female acquantice.

Or letting that acquantince use a vibrator on her, whether that be on her clit or inserted vaginally, hitting her g-spot just right.

Alternatively, imagine your girl friend giving a blowjob to your boyfriend and watching him react to her amazing head game.

Or perhaps she is giving him a rim job while another woman (or man) is giving him head instead.

And it's not just what you see visually, but also what you hear going in on the room with everyone else besides yourself.

Hearing other bodies bang against each other, the sounds of vibrators humming along, not to mention everyone's audible moans from all the sexual pleasure they are receiving will only enhance your experience further as you engage in your own sex acts.

In short, an orgy is a totally unique experience not just due to having sex in ways that break the boundaries of what typical sex with just one partner (or even two) is typically like, but also due to the overall ambience of seeing and hearing others having sex around you.

As mentioned previously, you could feasibly have seven people working on one person at the center of it all at any given moment.

Add in other groups of people also engaging in sexual acts nearby and you can see how orgies can reach obscenely high numbers very quickly.

And to be honest, that is a huge part of the appeal.

Hopefully this has helped clarify what an orgy is actually like, although it will take actually being a part of an orgy to actually know what it really is like.

Which brings me to my next point...

How to get Involved in an Orgy

This is the million-dollar question that everyone is anxiously waiting to find out!

Given all of the social implications of trying to engage in group sex, especially with people you know and interact with on a daily basis, it can seem like a challenge finding the right situation.

This is only exacerbated by the safety implications of having sex with multiple partners.

And in the context of couples looking for group sex, it is also important to find a situation that avoids letting things like jealousy creep into the picture.

Start small and work your way up

For individuals in particular (and even couples), it is almost impossible to work your way into an orgy immediately.

So instead of shooting for an orgy right away, start by looking for a threesome, the most basic form of group sex.

Even a foursome is fairly viable and achievable, especially for couples who only need to find another couple open to group sex to complete the foursome.

The great thing about this approach is that by getting your feet in the door this way, you are also establishing connections with people who potentially can bring you into a a more full-blown orgy down the line.

Your extra sex partners may eventually ask if their friends and acquantiances can join in, and so with a little patience an orgy can organically form over time.

Sexual partners can be found just about anywhere

As far as where to look, there really is no limits.

Many people can find others looking for group sex online, whether that is on online forums or dating apps.

But you can also just as easily find people in more typical social settings.

At parties or social gatherings, if you meet an acquantiance and you hit it off with them, consider an approach that leads to propositioning group sex with them.

This can be as involved as building up to it across multiple additional "casual" hang-outs, or as simple as straight-up communicating your desire to have sex with them along with your partner or other friends, and see what they say.

Speaking of friends, they are definitely not off-limits, but you need to be tactful in your approach with them.

This applies to co-workers as well, and just about anyone with whom you have a established relationship with.

A good way to do this is to play off the idea jokingly to start and see their reaction.

Or alternatively, bring it up with then when you are both out at night and both somewhat intoxicated to be able to blame it on the alcohol later on if needed.

If you want to be particularly bold, you can even make a move on them and hopefully they respond positively.

Unless you are willing to lose your relationship with them, be very mindful of their reactions and use your best judgement as far as when to push the issue further along, or when to drop it.

Be open to anyone

Although we all want to have sex with only the best sexual partners, to be quite honest, you cannot be picky when it comes to group sex.

(At least not in the beginning.)

That isn't necessarily to say that you have to lower the bar as far as sexual compatibility.

But if you are expecting to find a perfect 10 out of 10 to join you in an orgy, you may be looking for a very long time.

Be willing to compromise on certain aspects when it comes to finding suitable sexual partners.

Whether that be in terms of physical looks or personality, kepe in mind that these are traits that you can afford to de-prioritize specifically in the context of group sex.

In short, if you feel like you can have a good sexual time with them, be open to the idea of bringing them into your sexual circle.

Vet your final selections thoroughly

Somewhat contrary to my point above, while being open to anyone is important, it is just as important to not make any rash decisions when it coms to something as intimate as sex.

If you find a potential sexual partner in a stranger, make sure to get their basic information and get to know them a bit before meeting up.

In fact, you should definitely meet them at least once or twice in a more typical social setting to be fully confident if they are a good fit for group sex.

Checking for STIs is an absolute must and self-explanatory.

And given the potential lack of exclusivity when it comes to group sex, checking for STI's should be done before each and every sexual encounter.

Speaking of safety, if you do include sex toys in your group sex or orgy, make sure to follow these sex toy safety tips as well.

For couples who are looking for group sex, an important aspect is to also make sure that both parties are agreeable to the additional sexual partners selected.

If either one feels that they may get jealous of their partner having sex with a particular person, for whatever reason, this should be explicitly communicated.

It may be possible to convince the concerned party to go through with that person and quell any concerns of becoming jealous, but if this cannot be achieved, then that person should not be chosen for your group sex encounter.

There are always other options available and if you value your current romantic relationship, you should always go this route rather than risk hardship down the line due to forcing a sexual partner that both of you weren't 100% comfortable with.

And this actually applies to all elements of partner selection, regardless of if you are deciding alone or deciding with an established romantic partner.

All parties involved should be comfortable with the following when it comes to a potential sexual partner (arguably in this order):

  • Good sexual health (no STI's)

  • Physical/sexual attraction

  • Sexual experience

  • Personality

Again, they do not need to be perfect 10's on all of these, unless all parties can sign-off on these factors, you should not consider introducing this person into your bedroom.

Orgies: The Pinnacle of Group Sex

Participating in an orgy is a truly rewarding sexual experience for those who approach it not just openly, but responsibly as well.

An orgy, not to mention group sex in general, is not something you can decide to do on a whim, and in reality takes a lot of careful planning and thoughtful consideration.

But assuming you do set your mind on having an orgy, and properly set up one, the end result is an explosion of pure sexual pleasure from start to finish.

Multiple orgasms achieved through various methods of sexual stimulation with the help of multiple people are exactly what you can expect when you have an orgy.

For those who love sex and want to experience the absolute peak of what sex has to offer, having an orgy should be at the top of your sexual bucket list.
